Hyundai Motor Group has hired Ford’s chief RS engineer, Tyrone Johnson and has been named head of vehicle test and development at the Hyundai Motor Group European Test and Development facility in Germany.
reported on Johnson’s new role, which is Albert Biermann’s former position after working on Ford’s RS vehicles in his previous role. Biermann has recently moved to global head of research and development for the South Korean automaker.
Alber Biermann was the formen man who arrived to Hyundai with the mission to improve vehicle dynamics and turn group’s poor driveability reviews not just with the N performance sub-brand, but also with more affordable cars like Kia Stinger, new i30, Veloster or Sonata.
He previously worked for BMW’s M division and has overseen some of the hottest offerings from German brand. With the former RS chief engineer sign, Hyundai Motor Group adds a new prestigious engineer to the list. What we can expect from now on?
