Hyundai launched an updated 2015 Grandeur hybrid sedan yesterday in South Korea. Among the styling and technology updates,
The new Hybrid model maximum output is 204 hp with a maximum torque of 21.0 kg.m. As the new model is a Hybrid car, its fuel efficiency is more than 40 percent higher than that of the comparable gasoline model. The 2.4-liter MPi gasoline engine on the Hyundai Grandeur model (automatic transmission) has the fuel economy of 11.3 kilometers per liter (27 mpg) while the new Hybrid boasts 16.0 km per liter (38 mpg).
Hyundai will offer a 10-year or 200,000 km manufacturer’s warranty, whichever comes sooner, on parts exclusive to hybrid models such as the electric motor, and guarantee the value of a three-year-old car for up to 62 percent of the purchase price.
The new Grandeur Hybrid will be available starting at 34.6 million won ($32,800). The petrol model starts at 30.12 million won ($28,600). Is not confirmed yet, but probably this hybrid version will be available in the U.S. soon, after they received the facelift model.
